Spring has sprung, and thankfully the pollen has given way to lush greenery and gorgeous gardens.

‘Tis the season for proms and graduations.  Memorial Day is fast approaching, when the prime summer season officially kicks off for IOP rental houses.

Schools are letting out, the weather’s warm, and there’s something about the beach that beckons toddlers, tweens, teens, their parents, their grandparents… it’s ideal fun for every age of humanAnd, it’s awesome for your dogs, too.

IOP: Charleston’s Beach

The Isle of Palms, a beloved barrier island, is considered to be Charleston’s beach.  We’re an easy drive from downtown, giving you the ability to experience the historic charm of Charleston while also having an ocean vacation.

A beach house makes the perfect home base, since you can gather so many of your clan in one placeWatch a game in the large living areas, prepare fresh seafood together in the gourmet kitchen, hang out and catch up on the expansive decks and patiosTake long moonlit walks on the beach, or early morning runs along the water’s edge.

Or, turn RIGHT for “South of the Connector,” and Ocean Boulevard, between Front Beach (IOP’s commercial district) down to Breach Inlet.

I’ll highlight a couple properties in each part, which still have openingsStarting at the top (north) of the island and working our way down...
