It’s another week, another press conference announcing news about Charleston International Airport and yet more ways to get to our SC vacation rentals. As I covered in this blog last fall, Denver-based Frontier Airlines announced service to Charleston which will begin February 20th.  They are offering flights to and from Denver, Philadelphia and Chicago O’Hare. Well, they haven’t even landed a flight here yet, and they just announced even more service to two more cities.  Apparently, the overwhelmingly positive response to their earlier announcement triggered the move. Beginning in April, Frontier will offer nonstop flights to and from the Holy City and Austin, Texas as well as Trenton, New Jersey. They’re offering some pretty fantastic rates, as well.  If you book by Monday, you can snag a one-way ticket for just $39.

Here’s a rundown of the new service they’ll be adding to help you get to our SC vacation rentals…

Well, Valentine’s Day is coming up next Wednesday.  If you’re in a Charleston beach house this weekend, say one of our Isle of Palms vacation rentals, why not get a jump on the celebration of love. Another favorite attraction among folks who stay in our luxury beach house rentals SC  -  Magnolia Plantation  -  is hosting a very appealing Valentine’s event this Saturday and Sunday. It’s called the VALENTINE’S CHOCOLATE WALK, and it’s free with regular garden admission. You’re invited to stroll with your sweetheart through the oldest gardens in America.  Magnolia boasts one of the top collections of camellias in the world (over 20,000).  Along the way, you’ll be serenaded by string musicians, and you’re invited to enjoy several different tasting stations with decadent chocolate creations from around the globe. The famous camellias of Magnolia bloom from the middle of November to April.  November and December see the camellia sasanqua in bloom, with the japonicas hitting their stride now, from mid-January to mid-March. Magnolia has this to say about their gardens:  “Unlike most of America’s gardens, which are formal and seek to control nature, Magnolia cooperates with nature to create a tranquil landscape like Eden where humanity and nature are in harmony.” Gardens are, after all, one of the many charms of Charleston that draw folks to beach house rentals Charleston SC. The Chocolate Walk will be going on both Saturday (Feb. 10th) and Sunday (February 11th) from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m.  If you’d like to enjoy a romantic walk just with your sweetie, separate interactive activities are available for the kids.  As a bonus, children 6 and under are free.
