In that last blog, I covered how Bravo is coming to Charleston this fall.  They’ll be filming Bravo Fan Fest complete with cast members of Southern Charm and Southern Hospitality, both filmed here, plus Housewives from different cities, folks from Below Deck and the very-hot Summer House

Well, Bravo’s not the only entertainment juggernaut with Charleston in their sights.

Broadway loves coming to the Holy City, bringing some of the hottest productions here from New York.

No need to fight the crowds of Manhattan.  Take in a show, just a short drive from the beach!

“Best of Broadway”

The North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center is a top-notch facility hosting concerts, shows and events of all kinds, and is centrally located near the Charleston airport.  The Performing Arts Center part offers great acoustics and an ideal venue for theatrical and musical productions.

Each year they announce the fresh new season of their Best of Broadway series.

Recently, they did just that, sharing the exciting new slate of shows for 2026-27.  Some are brand new, some are old favorites… and some are so popular, the whole audience already knows all the lyrics by heart.

YES, it’s true  -  Hamilton is coming!

Great shows, longer runs…

NCCPAC has been hosting this series for quite a while now, and each year it gets even better.

In fact it’s proven so popular, they’ve expanded show runs to week-long engagements, from Tuesdays through Sundays.  That means more seats and more dates available for each show, and more opportunities to see world-class performances while you’re here staying in a Charleston beach house.

The 2026-27 Schedule of Shows

Here’s the upcoming season in all its glory, complete with official show descriptions from the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center:

DOUBTFIRE tells the hysterical and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids.

A BEAUTIFUL NOISE   -  December 8 – 13, 2026

Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chart-busting, show-stopping American rock icon. HAMILTON  -  February 9 – 21, 2027

The unforgettable story of passion, unstoppable ambition, and the dawn of a new nation, seen by more than 28 million people around the world.

Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic movie (much of it filmed around the Lowcountry), THE NOTEBOOK tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. “Full of butterfly-inducing highs and beautiful songs” (Entertainment Weekly), THE NOTEBOOK is a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.  .

Relatable, raw, and refreshingly fun, it’s a celebration of finding yourself, your purpose, and the people who lift you up. The music—a mix of Keys’ greatest hits and new songs written exclusively for the show—and exhilarating choreography bring to life a story that speaks to you no matter where you’re from, where you’ve been, or where you’re going.
