There’s nothing like an almost year-long pandemic to create a lot of pent-up demand for vacation rentals. As the vaccine rolls out, people are looking forward to things getting back to normal. Summer vacations are a big part of that. Perhaps never before have people needed a getaway more, than the summer of 2021. And we are finding that demand for our luxury vacation rentals on Isle of Palms has never been greater!

Summer travel is HOT on Isle of Palms

Hometogo recently crunched some numbers on the state of summer travel in America for 2021. According to a study by HomeToGo, Isle of Palms was ranked eighth in the top 10 for most luxurious summer destinations in the United States.

They also came up with some interesting findings that suggest bigger trends afoot. Basically, things are hopping in the vacation rental world.
Bookings of summer vacation rentals are up almost 30%. Most folks are searching for travel within the United States, with 86% looking for domestic destinations. This of course comes as no surprise considering the muddy international travel requirements, and the way things seem to turn on a dime. Of those domestic searches, most are focused on the East Coast. These saw a year over year increase of 95%.

Road trips are wildly popular. So are stays in detached homes, which saw a bump of about 35% over last year. And last but not least, people are opting to stay for longer periods at a time - seven days or more.

Here at Exclusive Properties, our vacation rentals for this summer are booking faster than ever before, and these trends certainly are proving true here at Exclusive Properties. It’s exactly what we are seeing with our portfolio of luxury homes on the beaches of Isle of Palms near Charleston.

Big rise in summer bookings? Check. On the East Coast? Check. Within driving distance of many places? Check. Detached homes? Check (detached and spacious and gorgeous, to boot). Seven + day stays? Check.
Following are the summer stats here at Exclusive Properties.

For the peak summer season, which is from Memorial Day through Labor Day, we are 71% booked. From Memorial Day through the first week in August, things are even tighter. Our homes are 88% booked during those prime weeks.
Most popular weeks? June 19th through the 26th, and July 10th through the 17th. We have nothing left for those dates, which were the first ones to book up.

What’s your best bet for a week at in one of our luxury vacation homes? Try looking at the week of either August 14th through the 21st, or August 21st through the 28th. So far they have the most availability. At a recent check they are just 33% booked. Check out Paradise Palms (5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, sleeps 10) or Casa Margarita (10 bedrooms and 11.5 baths, sleeps 22), which are available both weeks.

These dates are considered “late summer weeks.” As such, there are a couple extra benefits of booking during this time. Most of our luxury homes offer a special reduced late summer rate, with a discount of anywhere from 20% to 30%. Also, the minimum nightly stay drops from a Saturday-to-Saturday required seven-night stay, to a four- or five-night stay, with any check in day you’d prefer. It offers you more flexibility and a great rate.

Also, just a heads-up, we are completely sold out for the week of Easter.

So if you are interested in coming to the Isle of Palms this summer, hop to it. ">Search our new website, or just give us a call, and we’ll do our best at getting you on the calendar before it completely fills up.

All best,
