Tis the season for holiday baking!

Of course, you could do it yourself.  You could to the grocery store and buy all the necessary ingredients.  Then, carve out a big block of time.  Take over the entire kitchen, slaving away over a hot stove and leaving a gigantic mess.

On second thought  –  the idea of buying scratch-made holiday baking from someone else starts to make some real sense.

If you’d rather leave the holiday baking to someone else, you’re in luck.

Sea Biscuit Café is an Isle of Palms institution known for their great breakfasts and lunches.  They’re located at 21 J. C. Long Boulevard, just down the street from Exclusive Properties’ office.

This Christmas, Sea Biscuit is also getting into the holiday baking biz.  And the options look delicious!

Another option for your holiday dinner or Christmas brunch…

As I covered in that last blogBurtons Grill in Towne Centre is offering a delicious and complete holiday dinner for takeout, or to prepare yourself at home. You can opt for either prime rib or crab-crusted salmon with your choice of gourmet side dishes.  By the way, if you opt for cooking it yourself, you only need to prepare the main course.  The sides are fully prepared and only need to be reheated.

Well, there’s another terrific option to keep you from having to do all the holiday cooking.

Mosaic Catering & Events, in conjunction with the fabulous Greek restaurant Stella’s and The Warren Room, has a wonderful holiday menu.  They’re offering a full spread for either your holiday dinner, or for a festive (and delectable) Christmas Day brunch.  You can purchase them for two, four or eight people.

Mosaic menu options:

For Christmas brunch, you can select two main dishes from Shrimp & Smoked Gouda Grit Casserole, Praline-Pecan Bread Pudding, Shaved Lamb & Potato Skillet, or a Garden Vegetable Skillet.  Pick two sides (Home Fried Yukon Potatoes, Orange Fennel Sausage, Thick-cut Smokehouse Bacon, Arugula & Spinach Citrus Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette).  You can add on Stella’s Signature King Bean Coffee if you like.

For Christmas dinner, choose one main (Roasted Leg of Lamb au Jus, Herb-crusted Butcher Steak with Horseradish-Dijon Sauce, or “Everything” Spiced Salmon with Dill Cream Sauce).  Pick three sides (Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts, Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes, Smoked Gouda Pimento Mac & Cheese, Oven-roasted Lemon-Oregano Potatoes, Green Beans with Almonds, Citrus and Butter, Creamed Kale with Butter Cracker Crust, Winter Arugula Salad with Beets, Pistachios, Dried Cherries with Mustard Vinaigrette).  Dessert is Cinnamon Roll Pecan Pie.

Deadline for ordering is December 21st at 12:00 p.m. They’ll have curbside pickup on December 23rd and 24th from noon till 3:00 p.m. at 114 St. Philip Street in downtown Charleston.  They’ll also delivery (for a fee) on December 23rd from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

You can find them on Facebook.  Or, place your online order here.

So if you’re spending the holiday in one of our Isle of Palms vacation rentals, these are great options to leave the holiday baking or cooking to someone else.  And if you’re not here but would like to be, just give us a call at EP and we’ll try to rectify that, ASAP.

All best,
