Many of you heading to one of our luxury beach house rentals SC does so via CHS  -  Charleston International Airport. As I’ve covered in several blogs, the airport has recently undergone a massive, $200 million renovation.  It’s easier and more pleasant than ever to fly to your beach house Charleston.  They’ve redesigned the flow, substantially added to the gates and baggage area, unveiled a gorgeous new atrium, and added fun local dining options.  (Caviar and Bananas!)  They've also added a substantial number of new direct flights and even new carriers. The airport is an easy drive from all our Isle of Palms vacation rentals.  It’s a great hub to rent a car from one of several different companies, or take an Uber. Well, they just announced this week yet another nice new addition to enhance your airport experience.  Beginning today and lasting through the summer, they will be having live music for your listening pleasure. Initially, it will be performances by Black Tie Music Academy’s Braden Kershner.   Ater on, keep an ear peeled for music by a jazz guitarist, barbershop quartet and a Mariachi band.  Fun! They did a trial run of sorts, having live music during the holiday rush in December.  It proved so popular, they decided to bring it back. Charleston County Aviation Authority CEO Paul Campbell had this to say:  “Whether passengers are traveling for business or for leisure, we want anyone who visits the airport to have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Live music will help us do that by creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere for travelers.”   Here is the live music schedule for March:

March 12th   --- Central Hall/Arrivals 10 a.m. to noon              16th  --- Central Hall Arrivals 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.               17th  --- Baggage Claim 7 to 10 p.m.               18th  --- Baggage Claim 2 to 5 p.m.               29th  --- Central Hall/Arrivals 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

              30th  --- Baggage Claim 4 to 7 p.m.
