Waterfront Music and Movies

It’s Waterfront Music & Movies, a neat outdoor series at Memorial Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant. 

That’s the spacious park located under the Ravenel Bridge.  It encompasses a lot of green space and stretches out onto a 1,250-foot pier boasting stellar views of Charleston Harbor, cool breezes and even fishing.  The Town of Mount Pleasant hosts many great outdoor events in the park, like the annual Blessing of the Fleet, Sweetgrass Festival and Shaggin’ on the Cooper.

This is another fun one, and it happens every Friday evening in August.  Basically, they're free outdoor movie screenings at Waterfront Park, with live music and dinner options thrown in for good measure. 

The live music kicks off at 6:00 p.m.  There will be plenty of food and drink available for purchase from various vendors and food trucks.  They will always have a minimum of two selling something savory, and one offering frozen goodies. 

Movie screenings begin about 8:15 or 8:30ish  -  in other words at sunset, as soon as it gets dark enough.   They project onto a giant outdoor screen, with plenty of room in front of it to stretch out on the grass and watch the show.

You're encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and come early to stake out a good viewing spot.  Admission and parking are absolutely free.
