Cheers to the classic toast for weekend brunch!
It’s hard to beat a mimosa for kicking off a weekend celebration. And here’s a mini-festival dedicated to its refreshing charms.
Charleston Mimosa Fest is brought to you by the fine folks behind Charleston Wine Festivals. They sponsor one event per season (Charleston Summer Wine Festival, Winter Wine Festival, Spring Brunch Festival, and this, the fall Mimosa Fest).
The fall edition in 2021 took place on Saturday, October 9th at a cool outdoor venue called The Bend, developed by The Pearlstine Company. It’s “20 acres of privately-owned property along the Ashley River dedicated to a creative, community-minded and sustainable way of life.”
They had classic mimosas, flavored mimosas, bloody marys, Brunch Punch, White Claws, wine and beer. Entertainment includes both live music and a DJ to get the place hoppin.’ The event ran from 1:00 p.m. till 5:00 p.m.
Included with your ticket - bottomless pours, along with a souvenir cup and bottled water. Food will be available for purchase. It’s a 21 and over only event, so no kids or babies (or pets), nor any outside food/beverages. Alcohol pours end 15 minutes prior to the end of the event - so in other words at 4:45. You’re encouraged to rideshare or have a designated driver. It’s a rain-or-shine event.
Tickets were $45 if you bought them early. The price went up to $50 after September 30th and will be $60 at the door, if there are any left.
The date for the 2022 Charleston Mimosa Fest is tentative. Please check back closer to the event for updates, the exact schedule and details.
