A Fun-Filled Event in the Isle of Palms Area

The Annual Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival is held from 11:00am to 5:00pm on the last Sunday of April each year. During the highly-anticipated celebration, visitors and locals can enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment set against the scenic backdrop of the Charleston Harbor and the Ravel Bridge, from live music and free fun to craft shows, art exhibitions, and contests in shrimp-eating and classic South Carolinian shag dancing. The festival's boat parade and namesake ceremonial blessing of the fleet are two of the biggest highlights of the event, showing love and appreciation for the local shrimping and fishing industries in the Isle of Palms region. Admission is free for the Annual Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival, as are the family-friendly activities within the festival. Proceeds from food and drink sold at the festival are donated to local nonprofit organizations, making this a fun and affordable event for a worthy cause.
