Enjoy one of the Lowcountry's favorite pastimes, on the scenic College of Charleston campus.
SEWE is teaming up with the College of Charleston Alumni Association to put on that most classic of Lowcountry social gatherings, the oyster roast.
The location is the lovely Cistern Yard right on the CofC Campus, which will be adorned with their festive holiday light display. Plans for 2024 haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned. But in 2023, it was from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17th, and proceeds benefitted SEWE and the Alum Association.
Here are the details:
- Plenty of delicious fresh steamed oysters;
- Whole hog barbecue;
- Chili, hot dogs and all the fixins’;
- Open bar with premium liquors, fine wines and local beers;
- Traditional and toe-tapping bluegrass music by the ever-popular Bluestone Ramblers;
- Early bird tickets are $100 through October 8th;
- Regular tickets are $120 beginning October 9th;
