A wildly popular fundraiser featuring local chefs, farmers, fishermen & ranchers.

Chef's Potluck

Lowcountry Local First is all about promoting everything local in the food scene, and this delicious event is their gem. 

2023 marked the 15th installment of the Chef’s Potluck, where 15 gifted Charleston chefs cooked up the freshest ingredients the Lowcountry has to offer.  It took place in the Porter Room at Holy City Brewery.  Exact date and details for 2024 haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned as the potluck approaches.

Restaurant chefs taking part in 2023's dinner included those from Butcher & Bee, Charleston Grill, Cru Cafe, Edmund’s Oast, FIG / The Ordinary, Frannie & The Fox, Indaco, NICO Oysters + Seafood, Park & Grove, Slightly North of Broad (SNOB), Sullivan's Island Fish Camp, Ted’s Butcherblock, The Grocery, Life Raft Treats... with special showcases featuring Bert & T’s Desserts, The Carolina Cookery and Mini Blessings Bakery.

Local farmers and food producers included: Abundant Seafood, Altman Farm & Mill, Anson Mills, Charleston Artisan Cheesehouse, Fili-West Farms, Heron Farms, Hickory Bluff Berry Farm, Jeremiah Farm & Goat Dairy, Joseph Fields Farm, Keegan-Filion Farm, King Tide Farms, Kindlewood Farms, Lion & the Lamb Family Farm, Lowcountry Creamery, Lowcountry Oyster Co, Lowland Farms, Marsh Hen Mill, Spade & Clover Gardens, Vertical Roots.

Tickets are pricey but all-inclusive, covering tastings from all the chefs, local beverages (by Holy City Brewing, Grassroots Wine, Firefly Distilling, High Wire Distilling, One Love Kombucha), and live music.
