Watch real snow fall in the Holy City.
Come to Charleston Place Hotel downtown and see the holiday spirit magically fall in the form of snow.
This is a special treat for those of us who live in the south and at the coast. Snowfall around these parts is rare indeed. But somehow Charleston Place is making it happen, multiple times a night, every night from the day after Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve.
It’s absolutely free, but they do require that you register in advance online and show email confirmation upon entry. Those with reservations can queue up on Market Street, in front of the hotel’s Market Street Circle, beginning at 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
New in 2023, they also added special 4:00 p.m. snowfalls on Saturdays in December.
They’ll have hot cocoa and sweet treats available for purchase at the Gingerbread House, as well as a cash bar with seasonal spiked drinks like Candy Cane Martinis and spiked cider. They'll also have live carolers performing on certain dates.
