A camp experience that’s out of this world!

Space Camp

The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry is known for its creative programming that is not only educational, but a whole lot of fun, too.  After all, their goal is “to spark imagination and stimulate curiosity in our community’s youngest citizens of ALL backgrounds.”

This is a prime example…. their ever-popular space camp!

Dates and details for 2024 haven't been announced yet.  But here was the scoop for 2023's Space Camp:

  • Monday, August 14th through Friday, August 18th, 2023;
  • Full day camp is 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. and is available for ages 5 through 10;
  • Half-day sessions available for ages 4 through 10;
  • Campers will plan trips to outer space, recover samples to build a colony, then safely return to Earth;
  • They will learn by creating important elements like mission controls, rockets, rovers, and space landers;
  • Campers will learn about exploration and space travel, access and play with mobile museum exhibits as well as space based games.
