Homegrown at the Point

Brought to you by the same folks – and in the same spot – as the popular Party at the Point outdoor happy hour/live music series in summer.  This late summer version features great local talent.

Homegrown at the Point parties happen at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina’s sandy  “beachfront” in Mount Pleasant , overlooking the harbor.  They take place each Friday night beginning in early August and ending in early September. 

You’ll have plenty of food and beverages options available to purchase.  But honestly, it’s all about the music.  They always have some terrific bands lined up, and 2023 was no exception:

• August 4th — 20 Ride - America’s No. 1 Zach Brown Tribute Band;
• August  11th — Maxwell’s Silver Jammer — Beatles tribute band based in Charleston and featuring Andy Greenberg &Friends;
• August  18th — Reggae Night with The Dubplates;
• August  25th — Whiskey Run - Four-person Country group featuring singer and/guitarist Gritty Flyright;
• September 1st  — Elise Testone and the ET Collective, featuring the former “American Idol” finalist;
• September 8th — The ever-popular Motown Throwdown.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the fun lasts till about 9:00 p.m.  Admission is $10, and it’s free for ages 12 and under.  These events  are family friendly and appropriate for all ages.  You’re encouraged to bring chairs and blankets, but no pets or outside food/beverages.  All shows are rain or shine.

There’s plenty of free parking along the roads leading into the resort, which is located at 20 Patriot’s Point Road in Mount Pleasant.  They also have Uber and Lyft pickup and drop-off stations near the main entrance.  Check the official website for all the details and FAQs.
