A fun family holiday scavenger hunt in Hampton Park!
The City of Charleston Recreation folks have cooked up a great holiday event that you can do at your own pace, anytime from the first Saturday in December till the Sunday before Christmas. Here’s how they describe it:
“Santa and his elves were busy at the North Pole preparing for Christmas Eve when the reindeer decided to practice their route for the big night. While flying over Charleston, Rudolph suggested that they make a stop to pick up a special gift for Mrs. Claus. As they approached downtown, the reindeer dropped their magical bells in Hampton Park.
Santa's reindeer need your help to find their bells before Christmas Eve! Follow the map (you can find it on the website) around Hampton Park to find all nine magical balls. Unscramble the word on each bell to reveal a special gift the reindeer picked up in Charleston (worksheet also found on the website).
Families are invited to participate at their convenience in this self-led activity.

Hampton Park is located at 30 Mary Murray Boulevard in downtown Charleston.
