One of the biggest area music festivals is back again with a stellar lineup.

High Water

High Water Festival was started by acclaimed group Shovels & Rope, a globally known band who started right here in the Lowcountry.

They’ve quickly built High Water into one of the preeminent music festivals in the region.  They pull together the hottest musical talent, and tickets sell out in record time.

The venue is Riverfront Park in North Charleston, which is rapidly becoming the it-spot for events.  Riverfront Park also now hosts the Culinary Village tents for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, which used to be located in Marion Square in downtown Charleston.

High Water Festival will take place on two main stages  -  the Edisto and the Stono.

Dates and details for 2025 haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned.  Here was the lineup for the 2024 festival: On Saturday, April 20th, it's headliner Noah Kahan.  Other performers that day included: Fleet Foxes, Shovels & Rope, Courtney Barnett, The Walkmen, Houndmouth, The Dip, Leyla McCalla, Olivia Jean, and Al Olender.  On Sunday, April 21st, the headliner was Hozier, along with performances by The Flaming Lips, Grace Potter, The Wallflowers, Briston Maroney, The Linda Lindas, Kevin Morby, The Heavy Heavy, Cut Worms, and Babe Club.

The High Water experience is not just music.  It’s also about the food, with a slew of great noshes from the likes of And Lobster LLC, BKEDSHOP, Cosmic Charlie’s Grateful Grill, Roti Rolls, Tinto Y Crema, Tres Palmas Acai, Tamashii, Verde, Hebros Kitchen and a bunch more.  Beverages abound.  There’s also a stellar High Water Market with local vendors and merch worth checking out.

If you are interested in attending High Water, you’d better lock down those tickets ASAP.  In addition to general admission, VIP, and Platinum tickets, they also offer all-inclusive weekender packages.  Tickets go on sale in October.
