The cool sounds of jazz come to the Holy City.
Charleston has too much culture and history to host just one jazz festival, so it hosts a couple each year. This is the one that happens in the spring.
2025 marks the 10th year of the Charleston Jazz Festival. Dates and details haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned (so to speak).
The festival is centered mainly in downtown Charleston. Venues have included the Music Farm on Ann Street, Charleston Music Hall on John Street, Bodega on Ann Street, and the Firefly Distillery on Spruill Avenue in North Charleston.
In 2024, they had some major talent on tap. There was also a special event at Simpatico Gallery on Broad Street, featuring French artist Michel Calvet, whi designed that year’s poster and started his career as a jazz musician.
