There’s a festival for wine + food, so it stands to reason there'd be one to celebrate beer, too.
UPDATE: The Charleston Beer Festival has been delayed a year due to COVID. It's been rescheduled to take place on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022. If you already purchased tickets for the 2021 Charleston Beer Festival, you should be notified via email about refunds. Organizers are also getting info on buying discounted beers with partner brewers as a thank you.

The 10th annual Charleston Beer Festival was set to take place on Saturday, October 9th. The venue: the lovely and ever-popular Riverfront Park in North Charleston.
Like many other events, it took a rain check in 2020. But it planned to be back in style with a slew of both local and national breweries hailing from California to Maine.
Not only will there be plenty of craft beer to drink, there will be a Homebrew Village, Beer Games, live music, food trucks, Vendor Village with crafts and artisanal products, and more. The fun goes on from 1:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.
Local breweries will include: Low Tide, Holy City, Commonhouse Aleworks, Rusty Bull, Charles Towne Fermentory, Tideland, Estuary, Frothy Beard, Indigo Reef, Fam’s Brewing Co., King’s Calling, Munkle, New Realm, Palmetto, Pawleys Island, Tradesman, Snafu, and Two Blokes.
Breweries from around the United States include Bell’s, Allagash, Bee-Town Mead & Cider, Hi-wire, Bird’s Fly South, Devils Backbone, New Sarum, Stone, The Dreamchaser’s Brewery, Columbia Craft, Hilton Head Brewing Co., New Belgium, River Rat, Scofflaw, Tidal Creek Brewhouse, Southern Barrel, Wicked Weed, Steel Hands, and Sycamore.
Charleston Beer Festival also supports a good cause, with proceeds going toward public health initiatives of Palmetto Community Care.
Tickets are $30 for general admission, which includes 10 beer sampling tickets and a commemorative mug. VIP tickets are $60 and includes early access (noon), entry to the VIP Oasis and Swag Bar and 20 sampling tickets. Ticket prices increase (to $35 and $75) on October 2nd. Designated driver tickets are $20 to $25. It’s a rain-or-shine event. You can purchase tickets on the official festival website.
