A chance to see Drayton in a special light.
The historic estate of Drayton Hall dates to 1738 and is the oldest untouched home open to the public in the United States. It’s both a historical treasure and a Charleston must-see. In fact, Conde Nast Traveler named Drayton Hall the “Best Place to See in South Carolina.”
Here’s your chance to see it in a new light - an authentic one. They’re offering special evening candlelight tours of Drayton Hall, which will take place on select evenings.
Candlelight tours will be open to a limited number of guests and are by reservation only.
NOTE: Dates and details for 2026-27 are tentative, so check back closer to the event for the latest.
- Dates in 2025 included November 29th; in 2026, it was March 7th;
- Tours last from 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m.;
- Tickets are $55 each for non-members, or $50 for members;
- Reservations are required;
- Drayton Hall is located at 3380 Ashley River Road, west of the Ashley River in Charleston.
