Bicycle Safety Rodeo

Here’s something new and helpful hosted by the Isle of Palms Rec Center…. a cool bike safety and educational event.

It’s called the Bicycle Safety Rodeo.  2023 was its inaugural year, and by all accounts it was a big success. 

Exact plans for 2024 haven't been announced yet, so stay tuned.  But here were the details for 2023:

• Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 a.m.
• All ages are welcome.
• Bike is required, so ride it on over. (Pedal bikes only.)
• Tackle the super fun Bike Obstacle Course;
• Helmet & Bike Sizing Station to make sure you’re fitted properly;
• Mechanical Station to make sure your bike is in top shape;
• Water and Snack Station to make sure you’re fueled up.
• Event is absolutely free!
• Please register by Friday, May 12 (check the website or call the Rec Center);
• Conveniently located at the Recreation Center in the middle of the island, at  #24   28th Avenue, IOP.  It's not far from any of our vacation rentals Isle of Palms.
