A Special Holiday Edition of Live Under the Oaks!

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre hosts plenty of great events all year long that are very family friendly, dog friendly, and usually free to attend.  One great example is their Live Under the Oaks series of outdoor concerts, which proved so popular that they kept adding more dates.

They’re at it again, creating a very special Holiday Concert Edition of Live Under the Oaks, called “Merry & Bright.”  Details for 2023 haven't been set yet, but in 2022 it took place Saturday, December 10th from 5pm to 8pm.

It was a perfect way to get in the holiday mood with opening act, Charleston Voices Youth Choir.  Then headlining was the ever-entertaining David HigginsJohnny O' of radio station 95SX Hit Music Now emceed.

There will be food and beverages available from Burtons Grill + Bar, Big Daddy's LoCo Food Truck, Taternator and Life Raft Treats.

Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food (or other needed) item for ECCO, aka East Cooper Community Outreach.  The concert is sponsored by Roper St. Francis Healthcare, in partnership with Awendaw Green.

You’re encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to stretch out on the grass.  There are some Adirondack chairs available, but those spots tend to fill up fast.

Towne Centre is quite convenient to the Isle of Palms, since it’s just over the IOP Connector on Highway 17.  The concert will be located in the park-like area across from Barnes & Noble.
